Psychosocial Questions

Print the pattern and size 1: Printing the pattern and grading down to size

Tomorrow we start! I am pleasantly surprised
the success it is having this Sew Me. Participants are 18 "official" but visits and emails that you send me, are many more.
Many thanks to all.

I remember the calendar Sew Me, which begins tomorrow:
Day 1: Measures and materials
Day 2: Prepare the pattern
Day 3: Cut the fabric
Day 4: We sew yoke the dress
Day 5: We set the dress
Day 6: Prepare and sewing the straps
Day 7: hem and Release! Today I wanted to come forward

two things: the instructions to print the pattern and how to make a carving of a year.

(Sorry but as much as I tried not to take pictures with them better, and also is a blogger entrails to format entries with photos so forgive me. If something does not look good you tell me and explain it better)

PRINT PATTERN:
The dress pattern is drawn on several A4 to be mounted as if a puzzle. To print you must first download the original pdf Oliver's website by clicking here and S .
The document includes three pages of instructions in English and eight multi-size pattern.
Teddy, tight
bodice
prints on A4 and "nonstop." As a check on the background grid pattern must be 1x1 inches, or 2.5 x2, 5 cm approx.
The A4 is stuck with transparent tape, matching lyrics black circles. Once assembled
will have 3 parts:
1. dress (same for front and back)
2. bodice (same for front and back)
3.
bias straps will see that each size of the pattern is drawn with a different line stroke. We cut our size and ready.

REMOVE THE SIZE FOR A YEAR
you have noticed that the smaller size is 2T, which corresponds to a chest size 21 "or 54cms. You can also see that the pattern of the dress size 2 is somewhat different from others in its proportions. Is well observed in the union with armhole yoke.

That's because the ratio of the extent of the head and shoulder width in a girl is less than 2 years after 3 years. In other words, the kids still have a year the proportion of big-headed babies.

If you want to make a smaller size is a way to reduce the pattern and would give an approximate size for a girl of 1 year. It lost some proportions and clothing is something different but better than having to wait a year hanging from the closet, no?. I will explain it if you want to try:
  1. ye not the lines of size 2 (in Seriously, do as they do not exist because you get confused)
  2. The pattern of the dress with a ruler pc points of intersection of the main lines of the pattern with a line that extends into the picture (see photo). You have to make 3-line, intersection with armhole yoke, armhole and side to side hem.
  3. You take on the straight distance between size 3 and size 4 (remember to ignore the size 2), and Marçais this distance with a point in the same line into the clothing, from size 3 (not 2, but 3).
  4. you repeat this operation over all pattern lines. What we are doing is a scale drawing.
  5. connect the dots we have left is a smaller but given pattern.
  6. have to do the same for the pattern and tight bodice.
Step 1. We join the points with a line.
Step 2. We transfer the distance between size 3 and 4
Size 1
marked in red. Greetings
sewing
